Sendmail Sponsoring and Exhibiting at MEC2012

Company to Present Challenges and Solutions Associated with Migration of Email to Cloud

San Francisco, September 5, 2012—Sendmail today applauded the revival of the Microsoft Exchange Conference (MEC) and announced it will be a sponsoring exhibitor at the show. After a ten-year lag, MEC2012—which will be held in Orlando, September 24-26—returns to the warm welcome of many within the Exchange community.

“We congratulate MEC organizers on bringing this very important conference back to life,” said Greg Shapiro, VP, Cloud Enablement & CTO at Sendmail. “Cloud computing, social media, smartphones and other technologies have all combined with evolving end user behaviors and business needs to create a completely different environment from ten years ago. The Exchange community needs this very important forum to discuss the impact these innovations are having on aging messaging infrastructure, regulatory compliance, legal requirements, security and more.”

Sendmail will present at booth #9 the challenges associated with migrating email to Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Online, including the email-enabled systems and applications that may be difficult to identify but can bring departments to a standstill if they’re not dealt with before the transition. Sendmail will also demonstrate how its Sendmail Sentrion Email Infrastructure Platform, the de facto standard email backbone adopted by major Fortune 500 enterprises and government agencies around the globe, reduces the cost and complexity organizations face when moving email to the cloud.

Visitors to Sendmail’s booth can enter for a chance to win a Microsoft Surface tablet.
