London, UK & Frankfurt, Germany, 28 June 2010 Sendmail, Inc., the leading provider of reliable and secure email and messaging infrastructures, today announced it has entered into partnership with Logica Managed Services, a division of Logica consulting and IT services group. Under the arrangement, Logica Managed Services is now able to offer its clients customised e-mail services much faster and more cost effectively than before.
Strong partnership for bespoke requirements
The partnership is another strong one for Sendmail. Logica Managed Services became a subsidiary of the Logica group following the acquisition of nordIT, an IT services company based in northern Germany. By partnering with Sendmail, the outsourcing and integration specialist is able with immediate effect to offer its global enterprise clients the customisation benefits of Sendmail’s Sentrion e-mail backbone solution.

Previously Logica has had to adopt a variety of e-mail management technologies in order to deliver managed services for the different customers. Some have Lotus Notes, some Microsoft Exchange Server while others have both. Some have their e-mail server in the DMZ while others do not. Without an advanced e-mail infrastructure system like Sendmail’s managing all these different configurations is complex and time consuming.
Complete protection for new customers
The Sendmail messaging infrastructure allows Logica to deliver an efficient solution for all back-end e-mail demands especially for new clients. The partnership covers all the necessary requirements for implementing the Sendmail architecture. In addition Logica can provide a wide variety of e-mail backbone and security applications via the Sentrion App Store. Such applications include compliance with both corporate and international guidelines for incoming and outgoing mail, protection against spam, viruses, DoS attacks, phishing and data loss as well as content filtering, authentication and encryption. Logica, working in partnership with Sendmail, provides enterprise customers peace of mind in the knowledge that all these major issues are covered saving time, effort and money.
The agreement allows Logica to deliver on its stated goal of being able to offer a powerful, cost-effective and future-proof messaging infrastructure solution for its growing customer base.
