Glen D. Vondrick

President and Chief Executive Officer

Glen Vondrick possesses over 30 years of high-tech industry experience, including executive leadership roles over the last 12 years in the messaging security space. Vondrick maintains close relationships with enterprise IT executives and partners across the globe to drive Sendmail’s corporate strategy, focus, and execution. Under his leadership, Sendmail has experienced record revenues while transforming from an open source and commercial software company to become the trusted messaging advisors and a unique position as leading supplier of messaging infrastructure appliances, applications, and services to the world’s largest enterprises.

Prior to Sendmail, Vondrick served as President and Chief Executive Officer of FaceTime Communications, where he was responsible for repositioning the company to become the market leader in Instant Messaging management, compliance, and security solutions for Global 2000 enterprises. Previously, Vondrick has also held senior leadership positions as Senior Vice President, Field Operations at Inference Corporation (acquired by eGain Communications), Director of Worldwide OEM Sales at Autodesk Inc, and Vice President of Sales at Ithaca Software (acquired by Autodesk Inc.), following an early stellar sales and sales management career with Prime Computer Inc., and Honeywell Information Systems.

Vondrick received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Public Administration from the University of Arizona.

Sandy Abbott

CFO

Sandy brings over 30 years of experience in managing financial organizations for high technology companies in the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley. In her position as CFO, Abbott is providing leadership to our financial team and putting new financial models into place to help Sendmail with its next stage of growth. Sandy has been an SVP and CFO for a number of companies including Mediaplex and 8x8m Inc., and since 2000 she has been providing CFO consulting services to numerous emerging high technology companies.

Sandy earned a BA in Political Science from University of California at Riverside and her MBA in Finance and Administration from Santa Clara University.

Gregory Shapiro

CTO, Vice President Cloud and Field Services

Gregory Shapiro is applying his 15 years of experience at Sendmail towards his current role of CTO and VP, Cloud and Field Services. In this role, he is responsible for field services as well as the ownership, definition, and implementation of Sendmail’s cloud vision, driving the services technology and product offerings to augment Sendmail’s existing on-premises infrastructure components and enable enterprises to more fully leverage email in the cloud.

In addition to his current position, Greg has served as Sendmail’s CTO for the past four years during which time he owned the technical vision and direction portions of Sendmail’s corporate strategy. He also served as VP, Engineering, Chief Architect, and held other prominent roles in IT and Business Development.

Greg is a FreeBSD committer, has served as program committee member for BSDCon 2002, and program chairman for BSDCon 2003. In addition, he has contributed to the past three editions of the O’Reilly sendmail book, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and contributor to publications.

Greg graduated from WPI with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 1992.

Stephanie Nevin

Vice President, Strategic Accounts

With over 15 years of high tech industry enterprise sales experience including Direct sales, Channel sales, and OEM partnerships, Stephanie Nevin is responsible for leading Sendmail’s sales teams and customer relationships in the Americas.

Prior to leading the enterprise sales team, as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Nevin directed Sendmail’s corporate and product marketing strategy, inside sales development, and managed strategic technology partnerships.

Previously, Nevin held sales and business development positions at LRN, FaceTime Communications, eGain, Inference, and Autodesk Inc.

Ms. Nevin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the California State University, Chico.

Barry Shurtz

Vice President, Marketing

Barry Shurtz has 25 years of experience in the high tech industry, the last 11 years in the messaging, security, and compliance markets. As Vice President of Marketing, Shurtz leads all of Sendmail’s corporate marketing, advertising, public and analysts relations and demand generation initiatives.

Prior to Sendmail, Shurtz served as the Director of Marketing at FaceTime Communications (now Actiance) where he helped the company become the dominant market leader of solutions for compliance, security, and management of instant messaging within the Global 1000.

Previously Shurtz held both technical and marketing positions with Inference Corporation, Virtual Microsystems and Sun Microsystems.

Mr. Shurtz holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Information and Computing Systems, California State University, San Francisco.

Kevin Leusing

Vice President, Engineering

Kevin Leusing brings more than 25 years of professional experience to Sendmail. As the Vice President of Engineering, Kevin’s primary goal is to deliver Sendmail customers high quality and feature packed products enabling them to streamline their messaging infrastructure and ensure secure deliverability of mission critical email. Leusing’s prior experience leading Sendmail’s renowned professional services organization gives him the customer centric point-of-view required to develop and deliver products that automatically make it to the top of any Global 2000 organizations short list. Kevin also had senior leadership roles at other leading security and messaging companies including Voltage Security (a Sendmail encryption partner), IBM Global Services, and has significant experience managing large technology projects for Fortune 1000 companies with management consulting firms Synova and KPMG.

Kevin holds a BS degree in Mathematics from Texas Tech University

Ian Emery

Vice President, EMEA

Ian Emery has over 35 years experience in selling and supporting technology solutions, the last 11 years spent in the messaging, security, and compliance markets. As Vice President, EMEA, Emery is responsible for managing enterprise and partner sales, marketing and professional services across Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Formerly, Emery worked at Tumbleweed Communications, the last three years spent as Managing Director. Previous to this he held senior roles in enterprise sales companies such as Oracle Corporation and Industri-Matematik.

Mr. Emery holds a BSc Joint Honours degree in Computer Science and Pure Mathematics from the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth.

Nobuhiro Suemasa

Vice President, Japan Country Manager

Nobuhiro Suemasa has over 25 years of experience in the messaging field. Nobuhiro is responsible for Sendmail’s overall operations in Japan managing channel sales, product and business development, and professional services. He is an original member of the Sendmail Japan team, which was established in 2000. Under his leadership, Sendmail Japan has become widely recognized as the leading messaging infrastructure provider in the region.

Nobuhiro is also a leader in setting technical standards within the messaging community in Japan. He serves as a committee member on the Anti-Spam Mail Promotion Council formed by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and the Japan DKIM Working Group.

Before joining Sendmail, he held positions as principal engineer and product marketing director at NTT Advanced Technology and ASCII Network Technology.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications Technology from Shibaura Institute of Technology.

Jim Seaman

Vice President, U.S. Sales

Jim Seaman has been involved in technology sales, marketing, and management for 27 years. He has held senior positions with Netezza, Akamai, Control Data, Nynex, and Optimos - where he was President. During the last nine years at Netezza and Akamai, Seaman began new government divisions and scaled them to tens of millions of dollars in annual revenue. In addition to his success in government sales, Seaman also has extensive experience marketing enterprise messaging infrastructure solutions in both private and public sectors.

In his role with Sendmail, Seaman is responsible for managing and growing the business in the U.S. as well as driving revenue generation from indirect channels.

Seaman earned a B.S. degree in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Sherry Walden

Region Vice President, Strategic Accounts in NY & NJ

Sherry Walden has over 20 years experience selling technology solutions, the last 10 years in the messaging, security, and compliance markets. As Region VP, Walden is focused on helping Sendmail clients and prospects develop cost-saving strategies for effectively managing their messaging environment. She works directly with large enterprises in regulated areas such as Finance, Pharmaceutical and Insurance headquartered in NY and NJ.

Most recently with Sendmail, Walden held the position of VP Field Services. She was responsible for the delivery of resources, services, and tools to increase the productivity of the field sales team. This included pipeline development as well as technical satisfaction in pre and post-sales.

Prior to Sendmail, Walden served as an executive at FaceTime Communications where she led major account sales in the Americas and developed indirect sales channels internationally. Under her sales leadership, FaceTime became the dominant market leader of solutions for compliance, security, and management of instant messaging within the Global 1000.

Previously, Walden has held management and technical sales positions at Inference Corporation and Texas Instruments.

Ms. Walden holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from the Florida State University.

Eric Allman

Founder

As Sendmail's co-founder, Eric Allman authored sendmail, the world's first Internet Mail program, in 1981 while at the University of California at Berkeley. He has been widely recognized with honor and awards of distinction as an industry luminary for his contribution in spawning internet email. Allman continues to be a frequent speaker at industry conferences.

At the forefront of industry-leading trends and technology, Allman is currently a leader of the movement to adopt an international standard for Sender Domain Authentication. Allman, backed by a cross-industry group of companies (Cisco, Yahoo, PGP, et. al.), co-authored the draft specification for DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM), and submitted it to the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).

Before joining Sendmail, Allman served as CTO for Sift, Inc., which is now part of 24/7 Media, Inc. He was lead developer and provided a large-scale research software infrastructure on the Mammoth project at U.C. Berkeley. Allman has contributed as a senior developer at the International Computer Science Institute to neural network systems design. Allman was also Chief Programmer on the INGRES Relational Database Management System and an early contributor to Berkeley UNIX, authoring syslog, tset, the troff -me macros, and trek in addition to sendmail. For several years, he has co-authored the "C Advisor" column for UNIX Review magazine. He was formerly a member of the Board of Directors of USENIX Association and is currently a member of the ACM Queue Editorial Review Board.

Allman holds an Masters of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
