Job Description
Sendmail’s engineering team is looking for an experienced QA Engineer with a working knowledge of automated testing methodologies in an Agile software development environment. The QA Engineer will require little mentoring help from fellow members of the team and will be sufficiently able to perform tasks independently.
Senior QA Engineer
- Define, develop and implement test plans and detailed test cases for the Sentrion framework and Sentrion UI.
- Work as an integral member of the Engineering team to design and execute a complete test strategy, including automation and regression.
- Manage known issues from the bug tracking system and provide Technical Support with updates that can be fed into the Knowledge Base.
- Assist with escalations for customer issues that are presented by the Escalation Manager.
- Closely monitor the defects reported from the customer scenarios and implement the new characteristics into existing test cases.
- Define and automate regression test suites for owned feature set.
- Manage time effectively to deliver on multiple releases.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to be an outstanding team player.
Qualified candidates must have:
- Bachelor degree from an accredited college in Computer Science or Information Systems.
- At least 5 to 7 years of QA experience.
- Experience in Java server-side and Web UI automated testing.
- Working knowledge of UNIX and TCP/IP networking.
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Perl, Python.
- Hands on experience with Web automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit and TestNG.
- Good Understanding of HTML, XML, HTTP/S, AJAX technologies.
- Strong understanding of Web Services methodologies like JSON, SOAP and REST.
- Working knowledge of email related technologies such as SMTP/IMAP/LDAP.
- Strong in SQL queries and understand database technology.
- Strong written, oral and presentation skills.
