Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Department: Sales
Reports To: Director of Sales Development
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will be responsible partnering with assigned field representatives for the purpose of building the pipeline and driving bookings in the territory. Responsibilities include researching and identifying new prospects and maintaining existing business clients for our products and services, selling add-on products, education and renewals. The SDR will maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services, industry and client needs in order to identify appropriate prospects and quickly establish effective contacts while working as a team player to collaborate on new service offerings and support materials. The SDR will utilize excellent communication and time management skills to work as a team with Field Sales Representatives in a defined territory and display tenacity in the execution of the Company’s sales plan.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prospect, qualify and build new business opportunities for the territory pipeline, including cold calling, prospect education, qualification and setting appointments
- Manage non-named accounts from a renewal and new opportunity perspective
- Interface regularly with field sales team to achieve territory revenue quotas, set up new business opportunities and co-manage sales from inside
- Provide field marketing support for field sales team
- Maintain database integrity management
- Develop both industry and product knowledge
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 2 + years experience as an inside sales rep, preferably in the high tech industry supporting a field sales team
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Self-motivated; highly enthusiastic team player
