Quality Assurance Engineer — Intern — Emeryville, CA

Job Description

We are always looking to identify talented people; especially college intern candidates. An internship with Sendmail will provide the student opportunity to work closely with members of the project team to gain a broad exposure to our products. Participants in our internship program will receive training on our products and gain the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in a full time position following graduation.

The internship program will be full-time in the summer with the potential to continue part-time during the school year.

Requirements

  • Computer Science or Information Systems major
  • A good communicator who likes working on a team

Helpful

  • Good knowledge of Linux and Solaris platforms, or a strong desire to learn
  • Experience with messaging and/or network protocols and network design
  • Perl and/or Bourne shell scripting, or a desire to learn
  • Knowledge of operating system concepts, UNIX processes, threading, and XML
