I had the pleasure the other day to sit down and record a podcast with Greg Shapiro, Sendmail’s CTO, VP of Engineering and long time supporter of the sendmail open source project (www.sendmail.org). We discussed the status of the open source sendmail MTA and also how it is used within the Sendmail Sentrion Message Processing Engine, which runs on all of our platforms (hard appliance, virtual appliance, blade server). He also talked about how the Sentrion MPE is different from the open source MTA. In fact, the open source MTA is just one component of Sentrion MPE…instead of me writing what Greg said in the podcast please take a listen—it’s only about 7 minutes long but chock-full of good info.
