Read an interesting article this morning by from David Strom over at ITworld “How to prevent data from leaving your network.” David makes some good points about all the products he looked at which included Sendmail’s Sentrion Message Processor, Global Velocity’s GV-2010 security appliance, and BlueCoat Networks DLP Appliance. He touched on the power of the Sentrion policy engine and the different apps included in the Sentrion App store. David also pointed out the DLP bundle app which includes RPost which can send registered return email receipts.
Here at Sendmail we believe most “email products” are really just applications that run on the messaging infrastructure vs. separate point products (at least they should be!) As you can imagine there are a whole lot of benefits to being able to simply add an app when your requirements change – first and foremost is having a single centralized policy and incident remediation system.
