In these difficult economic times, tough choices are being made every day. Though reports of layoffs and workforce reductions aren’t coming in as furiously as they were at the beginning of the year, in this unpredictable economic state, you never know what can happen.
It’s no secret that layoffs have a different affect on those of us in the IT industry who have a mission to protect the company’s reputation, intellectual property, confidential data (both electronic and hardcopy), and business operations. In light of this subject, I took some time out to draft a how-to for eWeek’s Knowledge Center titled, “Necessary Steps to Securing Sensitive Data before a Layoff Occurs”.
