Love it or hate it – there’s no debate that email has changed how we communicate today. It allows us to connect with friends, family and colleagues, but have you considered reaching out to some of your favorite TV characters or celebrities? Even people you may have thought weren’t active in the email world actually do indeed have their own addresses – and use them, too.
Technology is everywhere these days and everyone wants to stay connected, including Pope Benedict XVI. While it is unlikely you will receive a personal response, he does read, collect and route all his email. If you’re so inclined, try emailing him directly and let us know the outcome in the comments below.
Ever wanted to email Homer Simpson, but didn’t know his address? chunkylover53@aol.com is an AOL screen name and address registered to none other than Matt Selman, one of the writers of the Simpsons. And for those of you die-hard fans that are wondering how you may have missed this clever little detail, Homer’s email address was revealed in the episode The Dad Who Knew Too Little. And, Doh!, if you get a response we hope you’ll let us know by commenting here.
It has also been said that Bill Gates got started with his email in July of 1982, when billg@microsoft.com was created. Your emails will be read by a person at Gates’ office, and may in fact be forwarded to Gate’s himself if they are intriguing enough.
Send your favorite stars an email and let us know the outcome in your comments below!
