Sendmail’s Annual International Messaging Infrastructure Summit a Success!

It has been a busy month for us here at Sendmail! In addition to the news we announced in October, we are also thrilled about the outcome of our annual International Messaging Infrastructure Summit that just concluded. This year’s event was focused on, “Is Cloud in Your 2012 Forecast” and was packed with customers, partners and analysts from around the world, including EMEA, Japan and the Americas.

Attendees told us that they walked away with a better understanding of why enterprises require an email backbone even when moving email to the cloud and what Sendmail’s unique position is in the industry.  It was encouraging to hear that attendees found the presentations and information shared valuable enough to take home and relook at their email infrastructure and cloud strategy.

With customers such as ConocoPhillips sharing why they decided to work with Sendmail after conducting a messaging architecture review, to Fidelity who talked about how the Sentrion MPV platform plays a strategic role in modernizing message infrastructure costs and to Nokia, who discussed how they are working with Sendmail to ensure a complete messaging infrastructure solution. There was a wealth of knowledge and insight shared at the event.  It was also an honor to have Internet Research Group, Principal Analyst, John Katsaros, present findings from a recent survey IRG conducted to get a better understanding of companies email infrastructure plans.  Michael Osterman, President and Founder, Osterman Research, among other analysts were also present at the summit and all came together to discuss where the cloud fits in the typical complex messaging infrastructure of large enterprises.

We could not have had a successful event without the participation from our customers and partners and on behalf of Sendmail, I want to thank everyone that presented and attended the summit.

Be sure to check out the official press release here for more details on some of the customer presentations and insights from the summit.

We are looking forward to continuing to put together these events to provide the industry with the only true gathering of messaging professionals sharing insider knowledge from their experiences.

See you in 2012!
