People don’t realize how much they depend on email until they don’t have access to it. Recently, many subscribers to Microsoft’s Hotmail service logged in to find all their email had been deleted. If that ever happened to me, I’d be devastated! I tend to keep all kinds of tidbits of useful information in my email folders. When someone asks a question, I can quickly search my email folders for the answer. If I used a cloud storage for my email, and the service provider accidentally deleted all my email, I’d not be able to work. If my Internet connection were to die, I’d be in the same kind of trouble. I’d wager most people would be in real trouble under the same circumstances. By far, the safer approach is to keep your email on local storage. You should also keep a copy somewhere else, but only for local disaster situations. Sendmail Sentrions offer a clean way to automatically keep a copy of your email in multiple locations.
